CORE Operations

CORE Operations provides daily system and business support of:

  • CORE, the State's enterprise financial system,
  • infoAdvantage, the State's financial reporting system, and,
  • ColoradoVSS, the State's Vendor Self Service system.

CORE user support specialists, functional subject matter experts and system administrators assist customers with resolution of business and system issues related to CORE, infoAdvantage, and ColoradoVSS. The CORE Operations team also works with the system's software vendor to maintain the system and implement new features and upgrades. The team provides communications and training for CORE users, infoAdvantage users, and vendors, and helps foster continuous improvement of the CORE, infoAdvantage, and ColoradoVSS systems and overall operations.

CORE Governance

CORE Governance is focused on optimizing the CORE system through broad employee engagement and implementation of best practices using an enterprise-wide approach. User Support and Training

The CORE and ColoradoVSS Help Desks are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to assist CORE and infoAdvantage users, and vendors, with system problems and issues. The User Support and Training Team also provides regular communications and updates about system functions, changes, and special activities to the CORE community, as well as regular online training for CORE and infoAdvantage users. System Functionality Support

The Functional team is the functional subject matter expert arm of CORE Operations. The Functional team provides strategic direction, execution, and maintenance of CORE in the areas of Accounting, Budget, and Procurement; assists in solving CORE users’ problems; creates functional policies, procedures, and user guides. The team also fosters collaboration and cooperation between the Office of the State Controller and departments in the areas of data analysis, business process development, end user testing, relationship management, and design/configuration of application solutions.

System Administration

The System Administration team oversees systems operations and processing, and serves as the technical liaison between the State and various CORE software vendors. This includes managing system security and defining central security policies, providing technical reporting support to statewide developers, and developing and supporting interfaces between CORE and other department systems. ColoradoVSS - Vendor Self-Service

The Colorado Vendor Self Service (ColoradoVSS) website allows vendors to view, receive, and respond to solicitations online. Most State agencies and many institutions of higher education post solicitations for goods and services as well as construction notices in ColoradoVSS. Vendors can register for free, manage their account information, and review and respond to solicitations using ColoradoVSS. For resources and help, visit vss.state.co.us.
