Effective Date: 07/01/2022
Approved by: Robert Jaros, CPA, MBA, JD, Colorado State Controller
Policy
- Unless otherwise provided by law (e.g., §2-2-320, C.R.S. Legislative Department Contracts), the Office of the State Controller (OSC) has sole discretion regarding whether to request review and approval of State Contracts on behalf of the OSC by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).
- Sending contracts to the OAG for review on behalf of the OSC without OSC direction may unnecessarily increase approval time and costs.
- Agencies or Institutions of Higher Education obtaining such OAG review and/or approval without OSC direction may be billed directly by the OAG and such fees shall not be charged to the budget of the OSC or the Department of Personnel & Administration.
